Solar Rooftop Yojana 2022 : The National Solar Mission, The Government Of India Has Set A Target Of 100,000 MW Power Generation Through Solar Energy In The Country By 2022. This Includes 40,000 MW Of Capacity Through Solar Rooftop Yojana 2022 subsidies to Gujarat Systems.

The Gujarat Government has launched Gujarat Residential Solar Rooftop Yojana 2021-22 under solar power policy to promote the use of green energy and reduce conventional energy. The scheme provides subsidies for the installation and maintenance of solar panels. The state government has created a Solar Power Policy and wants to make sure that most of the residential houses, buildings switch to solar energy. In order to achieve this magnitude of capacity,

Solar Rooftop Yojana 2022 Gujarat has been given the target of 8,024 MW Capacity of Solar Energy by 2021-22, out of which 3,200 MW is to be contributed by the rooftop segment. Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) will be implementing the scheme.

Apart From Its Environmental Benefits, The Installation Of Rooftop Solar Systems Does Not Require Land And Also Reduces Grid Losses As Electricity Is Consumed Where It Is Generated.

Eligibility / Who Can Apply For Gujarat Solar Rooftop Yojana Subsidy?

• The Solar System Is Installed Within The Premises Of The Service Connection, Either On The Roof Or On The Ground.
• The Solar System Is Of The Ownership Of The Consumer.
• The Premises Of The Solar Installation Is Of The Ownership Of The Consumer Of The Discom Or Is In The Legal Possession Of The Consumer.
• Solar Cells And Solar Modules Deployed In The Solar Rooftop System Shall Be Manufactured In India. I.E. Solar Cells And/Or Modules Of Non-Indian Origin Shall Not Be Eligible For Subsidy Under This Scheme.
• Only New Plant And Machinery Shall Be Allowed For Installation And Shall Not Be Shifted Anywhere Else.

1. Solar System Commissioning Report Signed By Vendor, Beneficiary, And Discom Officer
2. Bill/Certificate Of Payment From Vendor For The Rooftop Solar System Setup
3. Setup More Than 10kw: Certificate For Charging Permission By Cei
4. Setup Less Than 10kw: Certificate Of Electrical Supervisor Or Contractor
5. Joint Installation Report Which Provides About The Installation Signed By Beneficiary And Empaneled Vendor
6. Note: Vendor Will Provide Most Of These Documents, You Need To Sign In. Vendor Only Need To Submit It To The Geda For Getting Subsidy. Applicant Just Need To Fill In The Form And Provider Signatures.
