OBJECTIVES OF POST OFFICE FRANCHISE SCHEME

Department of Posts Secretary Aman Sharma recently said in a program that 10 thousand new post offices will be opened in the coming days. All kinds of government schemes and financial work can be completed here with the help of technology. The government aims to provide banking facilities within every five kilometers. This dream will be fulfilled with the help of post office.
Eligibility to apply
Anyone above the age of 18 can apply for a franchise. No family member of the applicant should be an employee of the Post Department. Then 8th standard pass from a government recognized school.

How to apply
If you want to take a post office franchise, you have to fill a form for this. Click on this link https://www.indiapost.gov.in/VAS/DOP_PDFFiles/Franchise.pdf to fill the form. After this a PDF will open.
In which all conditions will be written and a form will also be given. A reply will be received from the post office after a few days of filling the form. If your form is accepted then you have to sign the MoU. After complying with all the conditions, you can start the franchise.
An application has to be made to the Divisional Head for opening a franchise. A reply will be received within 14 days of receipt of the application. It has no salary facility. Earnings are made with the help of commission based on the service.
How much will be earned
On booking of registered article Rs. 3 will be given.
On booking of speed post article Rs. 5 will be given.
Rs. 100 to Rs. 200 on booking of money order Rs. 3.5 will be given.
Rs. 200 on money order bookings above Rs. 5 will be given.
Extra commission of 20 percent will be given on more than 1000 bookings of registry and speed post every month.
In case of sale of postal stamps, postal stationery and money order forms, 5 percent of the sale price will be given.
40 percent of whatever revenue is received by the postal department on retail services including revenue stamps, central recruitment fee stamps will be given.
