Gujarat Valley Daughter Scheme 2022
The Chief Minister of Gujarat has launched the Whali Dikri Yojana in August 2019 with the objective of providing assistance to the girls of the state. The State Government has started this scheme for the girls of Gujarat, in which financial assistance of Rs. 110000 / – is given to the beneficiaries. Beneficiaries under this scheme will be given the amount directly in their bank account in three installments. This initiative of Gujarat Government has been taken in other states like Haryana Ladli Yojana, Karnataka Bhagyashree Yojana, Rajasthan Raj Shri Yojana, Maharashtra Manji Kanya Bhagyashree Yojana, Madhya Pradesh Ladli Lakshmi Yojana and West Bengal Kanya Prakalp Yojana.

Who can avail the benefits of Gujarat Valley Daughter Scheme?
The first two girls in the family can apply.
Only daughters born after 2nd August 2019 can avail this scheme
The mother must be 18 years of age or older at the time of daughter
The applicant should be a permanent resident of the State of Gujarat.
The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs.

How to apply for Gujarat Valli Dikri Yojana? Who to apply to?

The application has to be submitted in the prescribed form along with supporting evidence within the time limit of 1 year after the birth of the daughter

Forms for Whali Dikari Yojana can be obtained free of cost from the office of Gram Panchayat and Child Officer or Anganwadi Center or CDPO (Office of Child Development Project Officer).
Daughters born after the date 2/8/2019 have to apply by the family within the time limit of 1 year of the birth of the daughter in the prescribed form along with supporting evidence.

Objective of Gujarat Valley Daughter Scheme

The Gujarat Government has announced the launch of this scheme to improve the birth ratio, increase the education of girls, save the future of girls and promote childbirth. Under this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance to the parents of the girls. Incentive amount will be given to the first and second daughters of the family under Whali Dikari Yojana. The Gujarat Valley Dikari Yojana 2021 will definitely prevent female feticide, promote girls ‘education and provide adequate funds for higher education and girls’ marriage.

The benefit of Whali Dikari Yojana will be paid in three installments.

Under the Whali Dikari Yojana, the daughter is entitled to a total assistance of Rs. 110,000 in three installments.

First installment

Rs.4000 with daughter first standard admission
The second installment

When the daughter enters the ninth standard, Rs. 6000
The third installment

The third and last installment will be Rs 100,000 when the daughter turns 18 and gets married.
